FAQ:

What are the benefits of SPMU?

You can expect to have long-lasting natural definition. Perfect for those looking to enhance their natural brow or for those who lack shape or brow hairs.

How long does SPMU last?

This is called semi permanent therefore the brows will fade after time. However results can last anything from 1-3 years before requiring a colour boost. This is dependant on your skin type, health and lifestyle factors.

Will Semi-Permanent Makeup work on me?

It is important to know that everyone’s skin is different, and therefore we make this gradual process to obtain optimal results. This enables me to assess how your skin retains the pigment. At your touch up appointment we can assess the tattoo and make any adjustments to achieve the look you desire. Please be aware some people may need a third touch up appointment as some people’s skin can be more resistant than others.

FAQ

Does SPMU hurt?

For most clients the treatment has minimum discomfort, if any. Numbing cream will be appiled during the treatment.

How long does SPMU take?

The first treatment will take approximately 2.5 hours.  Including consultation, pre-draw, treatment and aftercare advice. Follow-up appointment 4-6 weeks later is up to 1.5 hours.

How will it look after my treatment?

Initially, your brows will look more prominent due to minor swelling and fresh application.  This will subside over the following week. You can expect your treated area to scab/shed fine layers of skin as it heals. This process lasts 7-14 days. Everyone is different so this may differ.  The colour will take a full 4 – 6 weeks to settle entirely and will fade by around 30%.

What is the pre-care advice?

- In preparation for your treatment you should complete the healthcare questionnaire sent to you.
- Any medications, and medical conditions past and present must be disclosed during your consultation prior to the appointment.

- Any brow waxing/threading should happen at least 1 week prior to treatment.

What is the aftercare advice?

The area must stay clean and dry for 14 days post-treatment.
You must minimise getting the area wet for 14 days. Including swimming, spa days and taking care whilst washing hair and cleansing skin.

- Avoid excessive exercise 24 – 48 hours post-treatment.
- Avoid alcohol 24 hours after treatment.
- Avoid strong sunlight for 14 days.
- Aftercare healing cream is provided and is to be used as directed. No other products are to be used in this area for the first 14 days. To minimise the risk of infection you must avoid touching, picking or scratching the area whilst it is healing. Doing so can compromise the success of treatment.
